L’Oreal Gifts SAG’s Leading Ladies

L’Oréal Paris and Carelle have once again collaborated to create gorgeous compacts to celebrate and honor Hollywood’s leading ladies. This year, L’Oréal Paris received a prestigious star on the Friends of Hollywood Walk of Fame. To celebrate this achievement, each of the three different compacts showcases shooting stars encrusted with diamonds. The three compacts are made in sterling silver and plated in a different color 18kt gold, which enhances the beauty of the stones and embodies the spirit of the award show for which it is exclusively made.

To celebrate their “Best Actress in a Feature Film” nominations, L’Oreal Paris and Carelle are thrilled to congratulate Sandra Bullock, Helen Mirren, Carey Mulligan, Gabourey Sidibe and Meryl Streep with these exclusive compact mirrors.
The cool Blue Topaz and 18kt White Gold plated silver on this compact evoke the sincerity and celebration inherent to this award show when fellow actors come together to celebrate each other’s achievements. Blue topaz encourages artists to connect to inspiration and stimulate it, allowing natural creativity to thrive. The pavé diamond shooting stars add gorgeous sparkle to this dazzling compact.

Piaget’s Limelight Watch Collection

Piaget’s Limelight Watch Collection Will Hold Center stage For You

Piaget_Limelight_Exceptional_Pieces1 Piagets Limelight Watch Collection Will Hold Centerstage For You

Piaget Limelight watch collection will bring you in the center of all attention. This one is as dazzling as its predecessors. Each piece showcases the brand’s dual mastery of both baute horlogerie and haute joallerie. Created in Piaget’s Geneva jewelry atelier, this fashionable collection has been made in 18 carat white gold.

We especially liked the Haute Joaileries Limelight watch (with reference no.G0A29084) for its dress in 537 duamonds that total to 40 carats. The Piaget 690P quartz movement powers this one. Besides this beauty, we are told that there are three other “secret” watches. And true to their claim, we haven’t got any specs on these yet.

Coming back to the pieces we liked. Do check out the Limelight Exceptions Piece (reference no.G0A34135) that can be doubled up as a bracelet by concealing its dial under a set of diamonds. A very exuberant piece, this one has a floral design with two leaves made of diamonds as decoration. There are many other designs too.

The Biggest Diamond Ganesh Idol Ever Makes A News Splash

One country that has repeatedly been in news during the recession is India. Well, it had to be being the least affected by the economic hard times. Maybe it’s the good financial planning or special blessings from the many gods that reside here. Just so you know, Indians are known to spare nothing when it comes to pleasing their favorite God. And the one most popular is Lord Ganesha, indeed.
It is a common sight in India to see jewelers making and selling idols of gods made in gold and other precious stones. And now the famous diamond company Orra too joins the bandwagon but with a difference. Orra has given shape to Lord Ganesha a from 512 carat diamond.
This spectacular piece has been put for show in Pune. A very rare piece of jewel, the diamond used to make this idol was found in one of the Orra African factories by a foreigner. Apparently, the traveler was quite taken by the natural resemblance of the diamond to that of the Indian God. This idol is also being celebrated as the biggest Ganesh idol ever made from diamond. No word on pricing yet.

Faberge Goes The Parisian Way For Its Much-Awaited Jewelry Line

faberge_jewels Faberge Goes The Parisian Way For Its Much-Awaited Jewelry Line

The Russian brand Faberge famed for its jewel-encrusted Easter eggs had been dormant since 1917 as far as its jewelry section was concerned, until now, that is. After roping in Parisian jewelry designer Frederic Zaavy, it has launched an impressive new initial coolection of 100 items at the Paris studio. We are told that hundreds and thousands of tiny gems have been used to create each of the rings brooches, earrings and necklaces. No wonder the collection has as estimated worth lying between $58,000 and $10 million.

In the picture above, you can see the Sadko Sea Horse Brooch that is worth $320,000, and the hot in-house favorite Fure Bird Brooch that will set you back by $335,000. Experts reflect that it took 92 years for the brand to go beyond its boundaries, but the lovely creations are definitely worth the wait.

Insiders reveal that Faberge took a very calculated risk by entering the jewelry market in the midst of the global economic recession. And it has also got itself former Alfred Dunhill prez, Mark Dunhill in its new management. A whole lot of people backed by the British private-equity firm Pallinghurst Resources are working to revive the glory of this huge brand.

little about the Ponahalo. It was been embedded with 305 brilliant diamonds, which total over 290 carats. According to Foevermark, the prized necklace also incorporates the world's largest Forevermark diamond of 102 carats, along with four other Forevermark diamonds of 70, 12, 5 and 4 carats.
All five diamonds were cut from the same 316 carat rough diamond discovered in the De Beers' Venetian Mine in South Africa in 2005. The rough diamond was the largest ever found in Venetia.
